Goldwater Lake is a City of Prescott lake park a short 4 mile drive from Prescott, Arizona, where Upper and Lower Goldwater Lake together cover just 15 acres. Small lake, long to-do list: paddle, fish, picnic, hike, then argue over whose turn it is at horseshoes.

What usually happens at Goldwater Lake?
- Picnic day classics. Picnic tables, grills, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court and a children's playground surround the lake.
- Paddling and boating. Canoeing, kayaking and boating are all allowed, with a public boat ramp and rentals during lake hours, and electronic motors permitted on Goldwater Lake only.
- Fishing, with different rules below. Lower Goldwater Lake is quieter and kept for fishing and the shoreline: catch and release, artificial flies or lures only, and no watercraft of any kind.
- Hiking from the shore. Trails around the lake connect to the Prescott National Forest, so a picnic can turn into a longer walk.
