A little history
The owners opened Peregrine in 2012 after Barnes & Noble announced it was closing its Prescott store. Barnes & Noble handed over shelving from the closed store, and the founders of Tempe's Changing Hands Bookstore offered advice. The remodel took its cues from Elliott Bay Book Co. in Seattle.
Insider tip
Natural history, science and nature titles are a strength here, along with poetry and literary fiction. Comics have their own section, and the store sells audiobooks through Libro.fm if your reading happens in the car.
